"Ambiguity" 曖昧さ

When I go for a morning walk and look up at the sky, I see a bright star near the moon.
It's Venus.
Every morning, the distance between the Moon and Venus increases.
I have no knowledge of astronomy, so I just think it's weird.
However, the ancient Egyptians used astronomical observations to accurately predict the annual flooding of the Nile River.
If they didn't understand this, people living along the Nile would die in the floods, and it was a matter of life and death as it affected the growth of crops.
It is truly amazing that the ancient Egyptians discovered that the cycle of a year is 365 days.
How was it possible to place ``today'' within the year in a desert that is hot all year round and has no plants or trees to mark the changing seasons?
How was this possible when there were no computers?
However, although they did not have computers, they had human intelligence that matched or even surpassed it.
For example, can we create pyramids using computers today?
Furthermore, in ancient Egypt, a solar calendar was created and surveying, geometry, and astronomy were developed.
The hieroglyphics needed for recording became the origin of the later alphabet. With the birth of "letters" to write words, letters amplified knowledge.
For the first time, humans were able to share their thoughts with others through the use of words.
Language made possible the agricultural and industrial revolutions, and we are currently in the midst of an information revolution.
The information revolution is creating a world where people can be connected efficiently and quickly using only digital devices.
AI is an evolution of the brain's ability to process all kinds of information.
And the five senses that could not provide accurate information completely disappeared.
The five senses are what we feel in our "body."
Doesn't this mean that the body and brain have become separated?
You probably don't feel thirsty just because your brain thinks, "I want to drink something." Don't we feel and act with our bodies rather than our brains?
Of course, in the future, if AI advances further, it will be possible to accurately analyze and decipher everything we feel with our five senses and convert it into data. AI can then synthesize this data into "emotions," which can then be turned into information.
However, the more accurate the analysis, the more parts are left out.
It's "ambiguity".
When we are told exactly what our feelings are, we tend to want to resist them.
Informatization may be the part that is receiving the light. If that's the case, isn't it natural that there will be an equal amount of shadow to that light?
Information is just value. Value is judged higher or lower depending on the purpose. However, in nature there is no hierarchy of values such as ``This has value and that has no value.''
The dynamism of life can be seen in ``ambiguity.''
In other words, the only field left to us humans due to AI is how to make visible the invisible "ambiguity" that cannot be converted into data.
And wouldn't that be called art?

私が朝の散歩に出て空を見上げると、月の近くに明るく輝く星が見える。
金星だ。
朝毎に、月と金星の距離が離れていく。
私は天文に全く知識がないので単に「変だな」と私は感じるだけだ。
しかし古代エジプト人は、毎年のナイル川の氾濫を正確に予測する必要から天文観測が行われた。
それが彼らに分からないと、ナイルの川辺で暮らす人たちが洪水で死んでしまうし、農作物の生育にも関わる死活問題だったからだ。
一年の周期が365日であるというのを古代エジプト人が発見したのは実に驚異だ。
一年中熱く、四季の移り変わりを標示すような草木もない砂漠でどうやって、「今日」を一年の中に位置づけられたのか？
コンピューターが無かった時代にどうしてそれが可能になったか？
だが、彼らにはコンピューターは無かったが、それに相当する、あるいはそれを凌駕するだけの人間の知恵を持っていた。
例えば、今コンピューターを使ってでもピラミッドが出来るだろうか？
さらに、古代エジプトで、太陽暦が作られ、測量術、幾何学、天文学が発達した。
またその記録に必要な文字ヒエログリフは後のアルファベットの起源となった。言葉を記す「文字」の誕生し、文字は知識を増幅させた。
そして言葉を使うことで、初めて人間は考えたことを他と共有することができるようになった。
言葉は農業革命、産業革命を可能にし、現在の私たちは情報革命の最中にいる。
情報革命は、人々を効率かつ迅速に、デジタルディバイスだけでつながる世界を実現しつつある。
あらゆる情報を処理する脳の機能を進化させたのが「AI」だ。
そして、正確な情報にならない五感はすっぽりと抜け落ちた。
五感よは私たちの「身体」で感じるものだ。
ということは、身体と脳が分断されてしまったことにならないか。
「何か飲みたい」と脳が考えてから、喉が渇くのでは無いだろう。私たちは脳ではなく、むしろ身体で感じ、行動するのではないか。
勿論将来、AIがさらに進化していけば、私たちが五感で感じていること全てを正確に分析し解読してデータに変換が可能になるだろう。そして、それらのデータを総合したものを「感情」として、AIは情報化が出来る。
しかしその分析が正確であればあるほど、排除され、抜け落ちる部分がある。
それは「曖昧さ」だ。
私たちは、自分の感情が正確にズバリと言い当てられれば、それに抗いたくなるものだ。
情報化とは光を受けている部分かもしれない。であるならば、その光と同量の影が生じるのは当たり前じゃないか。
情報は単なる価値だ。価値は目的によって上下が判断される。だが自然には「コレは価値があって、アレは価値がない」といった価値のヒエラルキーは存在しない。
「曖昧さ」にこそ生命の躍動が見える。
つまり、AIによって私たち人間に唯一残されたフィールドは、データ化出来ない「曖昧さ」という見えないものを見えるようにする作法だ。
そして、それがアートと言えないか。
